I’m trying to read more frequently and in larger spurts. The past few years the amount I’ve read has diminished, and it’s only been a few pages at a time. This is both embarrassing and sad as I have always been the type to read.
I just finished People are Unappealing by Sara Barron, an easy to read book about her growing up and trying to make it as a comedian. It’s pretty good, funnier than a lot of humor-based memoirs out there, but a few (very few!) of the chapters seemed pointless, and more forced than funny, which is something I can’t stand. It felt like the book didn’t have a real ending, which I guess it shouldn’t, because I assume she’s still trying to make it as a comedian.
I liked it, but I like any published book that references the author’s vagina several times, and always with humor. Makes me feel at home.
Per Justin’s comment, Freddo also loved the air guitar. I, conversely, have a severe allergy to it. I don’t get hives or experience shortness of breath, but when I’m exposed, I do experience extereme and immediate vaginal dryness.
