Do you think your writing style has changed (the topics, your willingness to be open) as you've gotten more followers?

Absolutely. I write a lot less “Today I…” posts in favor for what’s going on in my head. I don’t know if that was a (slow) conscious decision to sort of reign in on what I make available to the general public or not. I am trying not to write about my family or friends as much, because I don’t want to invade their privacy. I also try to talk a lot less shit about real people I hate, or even just friends who are annoying me, because I really don’t know who reads my blog anymore and I don’t want to hurt feelings.

I think my writing has gotten a lot better, although I wish I took the time to edit and treat it as “real” writing sometimes. I usually don’t read through my posts before I post them and it’s just a stream of conscious that, usually, is littered with mistakes and awkward phrasing.

Sometimes, when the follower count jumps, or I find out someone I admire is reading my blog, I become paralyzed and tend to vomit out posts that are only half funny and a quarter put together. It is literally how my verbal conversation is when I’m trying to speak to someone I admire. Which is kind of hilarious, that I am that impulsive and nervous.
