I don’t mean to quote myself, but I found it pretty insightful and generally full of truth that today, while discussing the various states of mental diseases within my family to my cousin, I stated, “Our family is like a picture book version of the DSM-IV-TR.”

He replied with, “Caragh, people dream of having these stories to tell. We have so much fodder.”

And it’s true. Because my other cousin once beat up two people because his internet was down, because my uncle collects trash, because Aunt A ran over Aunt B with Aunt C’s wheelchair (while it was occupied) I will never, ever be left with a dry conversational well.

These, my friends, these are the stories I’m not ashamed to share.
