I hit a low point yesterday.
I went to school, finished my Dexter review very late due to one foreseen circumstance and then one totally unforeseen circumstance which, literally and without exaggeration, involved the cops and wet laundry and I would tell you the rest but you wouldn’t believe me, and then I left my house at 12:30 in the afternoon and didn’t see sober until I woke up at 6 (and then 6:15, and then 6:30, 6:45, 7:00 — Love you, snooze button) for class this morning.
That wasn’t the low point. I played with a goddamn new, baby puppy, I went on a mini adventure in the woods, which is something I always complain about, but always have fun doing, I was nomadic in my hang outs and saw multiple friends in multiple locations. I saw the first episode of Boardwalk Empire and watched a horror movie. So, I mean, I’m sorry, but just being out of my mind for 13 hours was just not the low point.
The low point was when I was yelling telling a story about Scrabble and I glanced across the room to see one friend quietly giving me the Universal “simmer down” hand gesture. Over a Scrabble story.
You can’t take me anywhere.
